Upcoming Auditions
Auditions are for Placement, but there is a place for EVERYONE!

Open to young performers ages 7-16. An adult must accompany each performer to the audition.

Audition When:
Monday, August 20, 2012 ~ 4:00pm – 6:30pm (This is the ONLY day we start at 4:00)

Audition Where:
The Cathedral of St. Philip, 2242 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA, 30305, Room 381. Click here for directions!                     

What to Expect for the Student:
Wear clothes you can move in and closed toe shoes (no Uggs, please)
• Your picture will be taken for audition purposes only
• You will learn a dance combination, you may be asked to read from the script and you will sing a song taught at the audition.

What to Expect for the Parents:
Please arrive ready to fill out all registration forms which include information about clothing sizes, shoe sizes and allergies
• Please arrive with cash or check (made payable to MZStageworks) to pay for the remainder of the semester
• Make plans to stay for a brief parent’s meeting (usually about 15 minutes) beginning as soon as the audition begins.
All fees are DUE at the audition!

Regular Class Schedule:
Monday, August 27 – Monday, December 10 ~ 4:30pm to 6:30pm

Days OFF:
Monday, September 3

Since this show is a HUGE musical, there are a few added rehearsals (at no extra cost to you):
1. Friday, September 28 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm
2. Sunday, October 21 from 1:00pm – 4:30pm
3. Sunday, November 11 from 1:00pm – 4:30pm
*All extra rehearsals are at The Studio Atlanta Dance: 3229-B Cains Hill Place, Atlanta, GA 30305.

Cupcake Party:
Friday, October 26 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at The Studio Atlanta Dance: 3229-B Cains Hill Place, Atlanta, GA 30305.

Mandatory Dress Rehearsal:
Monday, December 10 ~ 4:30pm to 6:30pm (This rehearsal is in our regular room at St. Philip’s Cathedral)

Performance Day:
Sunday, December 16. Your child has 2 performances: one at 2:00pm and one at 4:00pm but they arrive at the theatre that morning at 8:45am for dress rehearsal on the stage.

Show Place:
THE MURRAY ARTS CENTER on the campus of The Mount Paran Christian School: 1275 Stanley Road, Kennesaw, GA 30152.

From the North: Take I-75 South to Exit 269 (Barrett Parkway). Turn right onto Barrett Parkway and travel west for approximately 3.2 miles. Turn right onto Stilesboro Road. At the first light, turn right onto Stanley Road. The school is located on the right.

From the South: Take I-75 North to Exit 269 (Barrett Parkway). Turn left onto Barrett Parkway and travel west for approximately 3.2 miles. Turn right onto Stilesboro Road. At the first light, turn right onto Stanley Road. The school is located on the right. Click here for directions!

“Great Job!” Pizza Party:
Saturday, January 5 from 1:30pm – 2:45pm at Fellini’s Pizza
2809 Peachtree Road, Atlanta.

Fees:
$50.00 - deposit due at time of online registration. This fee guarantees your child’s spot in the class! $688.00 - tuition remainder due at the audition (This amount includes a rehearsal CD, show shoe rental, show costume rental, show tee shirt, 1 complimentary show ticket per child/per show, cupcake party, pizza party and 42 hours of class time and professional instruction).
